How to clean and assemble
Before first use, disassemble and clean the product, and place the components in boiling water for 5 minutes (Excluding our insulated cups as this is not recommended).
Before each use, clean carefully and thoroughly to ensure hygiene.
Always wash the product immediately after use.
To clean...
1. Unscrew the lid.
2. Remove the hard straw from under the lid.
3. Use your thumb to push out the valve assembly from under the lid.
4. Separate the soft blue and hard white parts of the valve assembly.
5. Wash in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water or use a dishwasher (top shelf only).
To prevent damage, avoid using a brush on the soft part of the valve assembly.
Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals.
Do not allow product to come into contact with oil-based food (e.g. oil/tomato-based sauces) as staining will occur.
Our insulated cups are suitable for sterilisation by cold water tablet/liquid solution only.
All other cups are suitable for sterilisation by steam (electric and microwave), boiling, or cold-water tablet/liquid solution.
To reassemble...
Always shake parts after washing to remove excess water and leave to air dry before re-assembling. Your cup could leak or be difficult to drink from if not assembled correctly as follows:
6. Align the soft blue and hard white parts of the valve assembly then press together. Ensure parts A and B of the soft blue part are fully pushed through the holes of the white hard part. This is essential to make sure the valve assembly functions correctly. Ensure the slit in part B opens by squeezing before use.
7. Reassemble the valve assembly back in the lid and push firmly until the sides lock into place.
8. Reassemble the hard straw by pushing firmly into the hard white valve assembly part and screw the lid onto the base.
Storage and use
• Inspect before use.
• Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness.
• Do not store or leave in direct sunlight or near a source of heat.
• Do not store with or allow to come in contact with solvents or harsh chemicals.
• Not suitable for use in a conventional oven or combination microwave oven or any other heating device.
• As with most sippy cups, ours are to be used with milk, water or juices that don't contain pulp.
• DO NOT use with fizzy (carbonated) beverages, formula or hot liquids.
Warning!
• Always use this product with adult supervision. Accidents have occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to the baby falling or if the product has disassembled.
• Never use soft spouts or straws as a pacifier.
• Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay. Tooth decay in young children can occur even when non-sweetened fluids are used. This can occur if the baby is allowed to use the cup for long periods through the day and particularly through the night when saliva flow is reduced or if it is used as a pacifier.
• Always check food temperature before feeding.
• Always stir heated food to ensure heat distribution and test the temperature before serving.
• Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness.
• Keep components not in use out of the reach of children.
• Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces or loose parts of clothing. The child can be strangled.
• To avoid scalding, do not use the cup with hot liquid.
• Maximum liquid temperature 45ºC.
• Do not use the cup or any part of the cup as a toy.
