How to use

Using your steriliser in the microwave

Before sterilisation, wash all bottles and feeding accessories in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only) to remove any milk residue. Separate all components for washing and reassemble teat and screw ring for sterilising. 

  1. Fill the steriliser base with 150ml of cold water. 

  1. Add the steriliser insert tray. 

  1. Place your bottle parts into the tray as shown in the loading guide (E) 

  1. Place the lid onto the steriliser base 

 

  1. Place the steriliser in the microwave and microwave on full power according to the table below. 

  1. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before removing the steriliser from the microwave.  

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling sterilised items. Take care as the items will be hot. 

  1. Remove the sterilised items. 

If the steriliser is left unopened, contents will remain sterile for up to 24 hours. 

Using your steriliser for cold water sterilising

Before sterilisation, wash all bottles and feeding accessories in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only) to remove any milk residue. Separate all components for washing and reassemble teat and screw ring for sterilising. 

  1. Remove the steriliser insert tray and pour 5 litres of cold water into the steriliser base.  

  1. Add cold water sterilising tablet or liquid. 

  1. Make sure all items are full submerged then place the lid onto the steriliser. 

Follow sterilising tablet or liquid instructions. When finished, rinse the steriliser thoroughly with cold water before next use. 

 

Dos and Don’ts

• Keep out of reach of children. 
• Household use only. 
• Always add the specified amount of water before use. Ensure the unit does not boil dry during microwave sterilising. 
• Do not exceed the recommended heating time. 
• Do not block steam vents. 
• When using in a microwave, do not use metallic items as this will damage your microwave and ensure items being sterilised are microwave safe. 
• For use only in microwave ovens OR as a cold-water steriliser. Do not use on stovetops, in conventional ovens, or grills. 
• If you have a combination oven, ensure grill is switched off and the oven has cooled before use. 
• Do not use chemical sterilising solutions/tablets in the microwave. 
• Make sure that the microwave turntable is clean, dry, and can rotate freely before use. 
• Ensure microwave is set correctly on full power. 
• When removing the steriliser from the microwave, take care as it will contain hot water and steam. Always allow the full cooling time before removing from the microwave. It is recommended that heat-proof protection is used to prevent scalding. Place on a hard, flat heat-resistant surface. Always open the lid away from you to allow the steam to escape. 
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads when cleaning. 
• During cold-water sterilisation, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not move or lift the container while filled with solution. Never leave sterilising solution unattended near children. 
• Inspect regularly for damage, discontinue use if damage is observed. 
• After washing the steriliser lid, make sure any excess water is drained out of the handle before use.
