HCP Claims Explained

Healthcare Professionals

We’re proud to work with Healthcare Professionals (“HCPs”) and we value the expertise they bring to our brand. We engage HCPs to provide their input on areas such as product development and educational content, and as substantiation for certain marketing claims.

At the same time, we want parents to understand how these relationships work and the role HCPs may play from time to time. These are commercial relationships, and the HCPs we work with are fairly compensated for their time and professional expertise. We take appropriate steps to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as any applicable professional standards. Importantly, we only collaborate with HCPs whose contributions reflect their own honest, independent and professional opinions.

“Developed with Healthcare Professionals”

We use this claim alongside our Natural Start® Deep Latch teat and our Natural Start® 60ml baby bottle, and when these products are featured in our Natural Start® Perfect Latch Trial Kit.

This claim refers to the structured involvement of Healthcare Professionals in the development of the relevant products. When used, it indicates that Mayborn has conducted a programme of engagement with a number of Healthcare Professionals whose expertise lies in supporting babies and infants. This programme includes focus groups, panels and surveys, through which Healthcare Professionals are consulted on key attributes – such as shape, functionality, usability and performance – and product concepts are presented for feedback. Where relevant, that feedback informs subsequent design refinements, with updated concepts shared for further validation.

This iterative process demonstrates that Healthcare Professionals contribute at multiple stages of product development and that their feedback directly influences the evolution of the relevant product.
