  • How to use

    Measuring Forehead Temperature

    1. Press the power button to switch on
    2. Use the mode button to select Forehead
    3. Point the infrared sensor to the centre of the forehead. For effective measurement, the distance between the thermometer and the forehead must be 1-3cm. Be careful not to touch the forehead.
    4. Press the measure button
    5. The forehead temperature will be displayed on the screen.

    Measuring Object Temperature

    1. To switch on press the power button
    2. Use the mode button to select object mode.
    3. Point the infrared sensor to the centre of the object 1-3cm away, then press and release the measure button. The object temperature will be displayed on the screen.

    Memory function

    The memory function is great if you want to look back at the last 20 readings, for example to show a record to healthcare professionals.

    When the product is switched on, press the memory button. The screen will display “01” followed by the recorded reading. Press the memory button again to retrieve the second reading, and so on for the past 20 readings.

  • Tips for an accurate reading 

    • Child must be inside for 30 minutes before taking a measurement.
    • The child and device must be in the same stable ambient (room) temperature for 30 minutes before operating.
    • Always make sure the scanner lens is clean and undamaged.
    • Child should not drink, eat or be physically active before/while taking the measurement.
    • Remove hats and wait 10 minutes before taking a measurement.
    • Don’t take a measurement during or immediately after nursing a baby.
    • Wait at least 60 minutes after bathing to take a reading.
    • Make sure the forehead is clean and free from moisture

Make sure the probe is clean to ensure an accurate reading.

Use a 70% alcohol swab or cotton wool moistened with 70% alcohol to gently wipe the lens clean.

Allow the lens to fully dry for at least 1 minute.

Never insert a sharp object into the scanner area or any other open surface on the thermometer because this will cause damage and affect functionality.

Keep the thermometer dry and away from any liquids and direct sunlight.

It should be stored at temperatures between -20°C - + 50°C, RH < 95%.

The thermometer has 3 main functions: Object temperature mode, forehead temperature mode and memory functions.

  • Forehead Temperature Mode 

    Forehead temperature provides a fast, accurate and non-invasive reading of baby’s temperature by simply placing the thermometer 1-3cm away from baby’s forehead then pressing and releasing the measure button.

  • Object Temperature Mode

    This setting is perfect for taking a surface temperature reading, for example to check the temperature of baby’s bottle.

  • Memory Functions 

    The memory function is great if you want to look back on readings, to track baby’s temperature over time. This is particularly useful if you need to show a healthcare professional.

  • Who is this suitable for?

    The NoTouch™ Forehead Thermometer is suitable from birth.

  • Does this need batteries?

    Yes, it takes 2xAAA batteries which are included so the thermometer can be used immediately on purchase.

  • How do I clean the probe?

    Clean with an antibacterial wipe after use.

  • Does it come in protective packaging?

    Yes, the thermometer comes in a protective pouch to keep them clean and free of dust.

  • Do they measure in Celsius or Fahrenheit?

    It can measure both. Toggle between measurements, then once set the thermometer remembers your preference so there is no need to choose each time.

  • Manual

    It is not fully waterproof- it has an IP rating of IP22 which means you can use with damp hands and if dirty, wipe clean with a damp cloth/anti-bacterial wipe.
