Getting Started

Before first use

Wash all items to be charged / sterilised in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before placing them in the pod.

Powering the NightGlow Pod

The pod can be powered by either:

  • Connecting the provided USB-C cable
  • Inserting x3 AA lithium batteries (up to 85 cycles)

To power: Plug the pod into a household power outlet using the included USB-C cable or use x3 AA lithium batteries* for wire-free use on-the-go.

  • Please note, the USB cable does not recharge the batteries or the pod for on-the-go use.

*Not suitable for rechargeable batteries. Batteries not included.

How to use

  1. Place one soother inside the NightGlow Pod.
  2. Close the lid.
  3. Press the start button on the front of the pod and hold for 2 seconds. The button will illuminate to indicate that the charging and sterilisation process has begun.
  4. The cycle will take 2 minutes.
  5. Open the lid to retrieve your soother.

Your soother is now sterilised and ready for use. If you are using a NightGlow soother, the soft glow will last for up to 9 hours*. A sterilised soother will remain sterile for up to 24 hours if the lid of the pod remains closed.

*Tommee Tippee NightGlow styles after a 2-minute charge. Other brands may vary.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals – do not use alcohol, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on the device, as they may damage the UV coating or sensors.

Battery replacement

Indication of low battery:
If the light on the front of your NightGlow Pod begins flashing, it indicates that the batteries are low and require replacement.

  1. Open the battery cover. Carefully slide the battery cover towards the strap until you hear a click. This will release the cover for removal.
  2. Replace the 3 AA lithium batteries with 3 new ones. For best performance use LR6/AA/HR6 batteries. Not suitable for rechargeable batteries.
  3. Reattach the battery cover. Align the battery cover with the unit and slide it back into place until you hear a click.

The soother may still be glowing, but visibility depends on the surrounding light conditions. To get the best glow, make sure the room is completely dark and give your eyes a few minutes to adjust. Even a small amount of ambient light can make the glow appear to fade quickly. Letting your eyes adapt in a dark room will help you see the glow more clearly and for longer.

The length of glow time also depends on the type of glow in the dark soother being charged. Tommee Tippee NightGlow soothers should glow for up to 9 hours after a 2-minute charge, but the glow time of dummies from other brands may vary.
