Getting Started
What's in the box?
1x Perfect Prep® Day & Night machine
1x 150ml Closer to Nature baby bottle with slow flow teat
1x milk storage lid
1x anti-bacterial water filter

How to set up
1. Power on your perfect prep by pressing the middle button.
2. Press and hold the right button for 3 seconds, then release (a gear icon will appear).
3. Press the middle button to enter settings.
4. Scroll through with left or right to find the preferred language and confirm by pressing the middle button.
Before you use your Perfect Prep for the first time, you need to run a cleaning cycle and fit your filter:
1. Press the select button and then follow the directions on your screen.
2. Once you’ve fitted your filter, the unit will warn you that the tank is empty and that you need to add water - use cold tap water.
3. It can take up to 10 minutes for the water to filter through into the base of the unit. Once enough water has filtered through, the tank empty warning light will go off and your system is ready to use.
TIP: Press the select button at any time during cleaning to pause water pumping through.
Priming Your Filter
Only ever handle the filter by holding it by the blue cap.
1. Remove the filter from packaging.
2. Remove the sticker from the top of the filter.
3. Fill a bowl with cold tap water.
4. Submerge the filter in water and gently agitate until the bubbles stop.
Your filter is now ready to fit into the water hopper. Once you place the filter into the machine, use the first bottle cycle without adding formula as a final flush to complete this process. Once complete, you’re ready to go!
How to use
The perfect sized feed, at the perfect temperature at the touch of a button. The Perfect Prep works with any brand of powdered formula milk and has an adjustable base to suit different bottle shapes and sizes. Simply measure out the formula and the Perfect Prep® does everything else.
How to make a feed with your Perfect Prep® Day & Night
- Press the power button to turn on your machine.
- Make sure your machine is filled up with cold water.
- Select your feed size you require using the forward and back buttons.
- Measure out the formula, add to the bottle and place bottle on the stand.
- A hot shot of water is added to the bottle. Once added, add lid to the bottle and shake.
- Place bottle back on the stand and the machine will top it up with cold water.
Cleaning & Maintenance
As with any other method of making up a feed for a baby, it’s essential that good hygiene practices are observed when using and maintaining your Perfect Prep™ Day & Night machine.
It’s very important that your everyday routine includes simple hygiene steps like keeping formula away from the hopper and only ever holding the top of the filter. Ensure that your hands and all surfaces that come in to contact with the machine and its components are clean, and that the unit is away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
How often should I clean my machine?
You should clean your Perfect Prep™ machine:
- Before its first use and then on a 4-weekly basis.
- If your machine hasn’t been used for 1 week.
- When replacing your filter.
- After a de-scaling cycle.
How to clean
Cleaning the Perfect Prep™ Day & Night is simple, the machine does all the thinking for you! Simply…
- Enter settings menu, then scroll across to ‘Clean Unit’.
- Press the select button and then follow the directions on your screen.
- Always carry out the cleaning process when the tank light is illuminated so there’s
- no need to discard of any water.
- We also advise you to regularly clean the external surfaces with a clean cloth (preferably with an antibacterial solution), including the dispenser spout.
How to descale your machine and replace the filters
The screen will notify you when you need to descale your machine. The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance.
- Enter settings menu and scroll across to ‘Descale Unit’.
- Press the select button and then follow the directions on your screen.
- The descaling process can take up to 30 minutes, fortunately you won’t need to this very often!
- We recommend using food grade white/clear vinegar to descale your machine when required.
How to replace the filter in your Perfect Prep™ Day & Night
Your Perfect Prep™ machine needs a filter to work correctly. Replacement filters are available from the Tommee Tippee website, please follow this link to purchase.
- Enter the settings menu and scroll across to ‘Fit new filter’.
- Press the select button and then follow the directions on your screen
WARNING: Do not use other brands of filter in your machine. Even if they fit, they may not remove the same level of bacteria. Using this machine without a Tommee Tippee water filter could put your child’s health at risk.
How to empty your unit
If you want to drain your machine of water enter the settings menu and scroll across to ‘Empty Unit’.
Press the select button and follow the directions on your screen.
Warranty
What is covered?
Any defect due to faulty materials or workmanship which occurs while the Product is covered by this Warranty.
What is not covered?
This Warranty does not cover wilful damage, negligence or minor cosmetic damage caused by fair wear and tear.
How long are Products covered?
This Warranty covers Products for two years from the date of purchase.
We will keep a record of when you purchased your Product in your Tommee Tippee account, there is no need to register.
What if I bought my product elsewhere?
If you have purchased any Tommee Tippee items from another retailer, online or in-store, you should address any issues you have to that retailer or website in the first instance. Your statutory rights are against the retailer that sold you the Product.
What if it has been longer than two years from purchase of the Product?
This Warranty only covers Products for two years from the date of purchase. Do not worry if a defect occurs after this time, we still want to help, so please contact us in the same way you would if you were making a claim.
