I won’t purchase the green refills again. The product does not contain the smell of the nappies and stinks the whole room out even with the lid closed. It turns out it is a very expensive plastic bag

These new "green" refills don't work. They don't hold any smell in whatsoever. I have stopped using my bin because of this reason.

Hi Krystell. We’ve transitioned our refills to a new, sustainably-sourced Antibacterial GREENFILM™ made using sugar cane so you might notice it’s a slightly different colour and texture than before. However, rest assured that it’s still just as thick, been thoroughly performance tested vs. the original film and proven to block odours, killing 99.9% of germs. Through these changes we will reduce our CO2 footprint by 53%, based on independent certification. We realise that older babies do have larger, smellier nappies as they grow up and this is perfectly natural. Their dirty nappies are sealed away in anti-bacterial film so the bin stays clean and the odour is contained. To keep your bin in the best condition during these nappy transitions it may require more frequent emptying, it can also be washed with either soapy water or using bicarbonate of soda. Simply sprinkle the bicarb liberally into the bin, leave overnight and then rinse with water.

Green refills are useless now. They were always expensive, but at least they used to contain the smell.

Hi Felix. Thank you for your review. We take our environmental responsibility for future generations very seriously. This is reflected in some recent improvements we have made to our Twist & Click nappy disposal system. One of these improvements is the new bio-based multi-layer film in the cassette, which is now made from sustainably sourced sugar cane. This improvement along with others, helps to deliver a 53% reduction in the CO2 footprint in the lifecycle of this product, verified by independent certification. You might notice that the film is now a slightly different colour and texture, but it's still just as thick, and kills 99% of dangerous germs. We have been made aware that the new film may allow a slight odour to be released, and rest assured, we’re looking into this, to ensure that our more sustainable film contains all odours, like the original Twist and Click film that you know and love. Without knowing the age of your little one, it's also worth noting that we realise that older babies do have larger, smellier nappies as they grow up and this is perfectly natural. To keep your bin in the best condition during these nappy transitions it may require more frequent emptying, it can also be washed with either soapy water or using bicarbonate of soda. Simply sprinkle the bicarb liberally into the bin, leave overnight and then rinse with water.

The new green film bags are a scam. The bags themselves produce an odour which fills the room even with no dirty nappies inside. Tommee Tippee describes these as guaranteed odour free. They are not - how do I get a refund? And by the way, gaslighting your customers and pretending you're environmentally friendly is a joke. When people start throwing their entire twist and click system away and buying a replacement brand how is that helping the environment?
