Parental Mental Health Support in the UK

Different mental health conditions have different symptoms.

It can be hard to know if you’re unwell but to help you spot the signs, ask yourself these four questions:

  1. Do you have new feelings and thoughts which you’ve never had before and which make you disturbed or anxious?
  2. Are you experiencing thoughts of suicide or harming yourself?
  3. Do you feel like a bad parent, as though you can’t cope, or feel disconnected from your baby?
  4. Do you feel you are getting worse?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the questions above, please speak to a healthcare professional or someone you trust as soon as possible.

With the right support, you can feel like yourself again.
