What is colic?
Colic is generally regarded to be when a baby cries a lot without any obvious cause.
Your baby may have colic if they cry for 3 or more hours a day, 3 days a week for at least 1 week, but are otherwise healthy.
Signs of colic can include:
- intense and extreme crying for several hours
- burping often or passing a lot of gas
- curling their legs up towards their stomach when crying
- clenching their fists when crying
- having a red or flushed face when crying
- being inconsolable, it may seem that nothing you do seems to make them feel better
How was Colicsoothe™ researched?
We worked with an external third party to research Colicsoothe™. They helped us understand the impact of colic and how challenging and stressful it can be for parents of newborns. This research informed our development of Colicsoothe™.
How did parents test Colicsoothe™?
In June and July 2022, we worked with an external third party to undertake a Colicsoothe™ product trial. This trial was carried out on 51 parents (split between US and UK), all of whom confirmed their babies suffered from the symptoms of colic.
For a 6-day period, the parents used Colicsoothe™ and recorded the number of minutes their babies cried prior to starting the trial, compared with the number of minutes their babies cried on each of the six days whilst using Colicsoothe™. At the end of the trial, we also asked parents a number of questions relating to various aspects of the trial and how it impacted their baby following use of Colicsoothe™.
What were the results of Colicsoothe™ testing?
- Parents saw a 40% reduction in average crying time after just 2 days of use*.
- 9/10 parents said Colicsoothe™ reduces the symptoms of colic*.
- 7/10 said it reduced the symptoms of colic more than any other anti-colic solutions.*

Parents are telling us their babies are experiencing less crying, less wind and more sleep, and some said Colicsoothe™ reduced the symptoms more than when using other anti-colic solutions, such as gas relief drops and prebiotic drops.
